About Festival

60 Second Film Festival is launching its second round. This time the festival aims to provide a platform for youth to express their views about peace through 60 seconds film clips. Afghanistan New Generation Organization organizes the festival.


Eligibility Criteria

  • The contest is open to Afghan citizens residing in four provinces (Herat, Balkh, Samangan & Jawzjan) of Afghanistan regardless of gender, religion, or ethnicity.
  • A filmmaker shouldn’t be older than 35 years.
  • Entries will be received regardless of quality of recording equipment and no rules will be set for shooting or editing the short films.
  • Filmmakers are free to use video, photos, text, and animation in the production of their clips; and will be encouraged to be creative and innovative in their production.
  • Every participant is allowed to submit only one entry for the festival.
  • All submissions must be original and non-commercial work.

Submission Guidelines

Submissions will be collected by the following methods:

  • Direct Online submission. The existing 60SFF website will facilitate online submission of entries.
  • Delivery to ANGO via provincial representatives. Provincial representatives will serve as points of contact for filmmakers in the provinces and will be responsible for receiving, storing and transmitting submissions to ANGO HQ either by uploading to the website or facilitating shipment through local transport companies that connect the provinces with Kabul.
  • Filmmakers would also be able to submit their films in DVD to the ANGO office in Kabul.
  • Filmmakers can also submit their films through our official email: submit@60sff.org

Afghanistan New Generation Organization (ANGO) is a Kabul-based non-profitable, non-governmental youth empowerment organization with a wide network of young change makers throughout the country. ANGO was founded in 2011 by a group of young activists.
